Anna Phillips Wildlife Photography and Animal Portraiture

My main passion has always involved wildlife and animals, which photography has helped me pursue whilst expanding upon my own creativity. I find animals are greatly fulfilling to work with as they do not try to hide their true personality from the camera, you always get a completely honest photograph.

With animal portraiture I try to avoid more typical 'profile' shots of the, instead concentrating upon portraying their personality and character using slightly more unconventional poses. This requires a great deal of patience and usually involves me watching the animal for quite some time, taking a multitude of shots. During this period of time the animals gradually become more comfortable with my presence, allowing me to achieve truly natural photographs.

I am hoping to expand on this even further by joining a variety of Voluntary and Conservationist projects in the coming year.
